Clear, honest display of voting results in the form of blocks with votes.
The program must allow the user to verify that the voting is truly fair. That not a single voice is faked or distorted. But at the same time without disclosing the personal data of the country’s citizens. To do this you need to use the following method.
The final voting results should be tallied and displayed in blocks. The topmost level (block) is the entire country. This block is divided into smaller blocks: "regions". Next, each block-region is divided into smaller ones - “region” blocks. Next are the “city” blocks. Next are the “districts” blocks. Then comes the next block - “streets”. Then comes the most important block - "apartment building". Next, the block is a “separate apartment” (a separate private house is equated to the same block if it does not contain separate apartments within itself).
Each resident of a multi-storey building is shown the final votes of his building (a separate block), but the numbers of all apartments with votes in each apartment are also displayed. Those. for example, “city of Tver, Gagarin street, building 5, apartment 20: 1 vote for candidate A, 1 vote for candidate B, 1 vote for candidate C. In this case, no other data of apartment residents (names, surnames, etc.) are not displayed. Only the apartment number and the votes left from this apartment. Already at this stage you can check the honesty of the system - whether it correctly displays your apartment, count whether all the votes in the house are taken into account (simply by asking neighbors, acquaintances in the house). You can also check are all votes taken into account from the entire street, from all streets (calculate the amount on a calculator).
To further convince a simple, mathematically illiterate user of the reliability and honesty of the system, each voter is given the right to three more specific checks - to find out the specific names of those who voted in three apartments (or private houses without apartments). Those. the user selects the apartment of his acquaintances (people whose voices he knows or he can verify by simply calling them). And he displays all those who voted in this apartment with their names (without surnames). Those. name and who the person voted for.
This will be the most clear reflection of the honesty of the collected votes, that nothing has been cheated anywhere.
p.s. someone may say that “you can’t display votes door-to-door.” But firstly, the display is only for neighbors or friends, i.e. more trusted people who are positively disposed towards you. Secondly, there are simply no other simple visual ways to verify the honesty of the collected votes.
Even if a private house does not have apartments, then the votes of 50 other nearby private houses on the same street are displayed for it, or the votes apartment by apartment in a nearby apartment building.
Also, in countries where there is a HOA (where any resident of the building can look at the house books with the names of all the residents of the house who voted for the HOA), it is advisable to make an option where the names of all those who voted from each apartment will be immediately displayed in your entire multi-storey building, this will increase the likelihood of identifying possible fake accounts (neighbors who do not exist, no one has seen them, no one knows them, they are not listed in the house books).
Registration of new users:
To register new users you will need a government document with a photo (passport). A document that is very difficult to forge and the forgery of which is punishable. It is important for the system to know the following data: full name, date of birth, place of birth (region), place of registration (district in which your vote is counted).
For better protection when registering, it is better to require two documents.
Registration is carried out like this: a new user puts money on the balance of his account, then the system connects a document verifier with him via video link (in this case, his face does not even need to be shown), and the new user shows this verifier two of his documents, one of which is a passport with a photo . In this case, all unnecessary data (series, number, who issued it) are closed. Those. so that only your full name, date of birth, place of birth (region), and place of registration are visible. This data will be enough to filter out possible duplicate accounts. Anyone who checks the documents of a new user receives a small monetary reward (at the expense of the new user).
When checking the documents of a new user, a video call is recorded. The reviewer and the user being verified are prohibited from sharing any of their contacts (phone numbers, accounts, email on the Internet - any methods of communication). This is necessary in case a new user wants not to show his passport, but to bribe the inspector (so that he will give him “checked” in return for the bribe). If a user tries to bribe an inspector, he is obliged to check the “fake” box for this user. Next, the system connects the reviewer - he watches the recording of the reviewer’s video call. If the fake is confirmed, then he checks the box. If it was a fake, and the inspector marked it as “confirmed”, he gives him a mark and if this phenomenon is repeated, he loses his job. For each fake found, the inspectors receive a bonus from the money of the new user. If the user does not agree that he is assigned the “fake” status, he can, for an additional fee, protest this decision - call additional inspectors who would check the data of the inspectors.
Also, subsequently, after voting, when analyzing votes inside the house, voting residents can monitor the presence of possible fake residents. If such persons are found, a complaint is filed against them. If the fake is confirmed, then the person who found it is paid a bonus (from the funds of the fake).
As additional checks for fake accounts, you can use a bank transfer using the details, a registered letter with a code, and, as a last resort, checking your passport using the Ministry of Internal Affairs database. Also checking documents live.
All available ways to avoid possible persecution by monopolistic anti-democratic authorities.
Another addition: upon registration, the user is required to put a certain amount on the balance. From this amount, the person checking his documents is paid, and a deposit is also retained, which will be returned to the user’s balance if his documents pass verification. If he tries to bribe the inspector, the deposit is not returned to him (it goes as a bonus to the inspector).
